The property, located at the extreme south of the Montalcino boundry, was bought in 1994 and it had been totally abandoned but the land had been always dedicated to vineyards. This was a great opportunity, in as much as it gave us the chance to create an estate without any compromises and not needing to reply on somebody else’s choices. In 1997 we began making our first Brunello.
Pretty aromas of blackberries and black cherries. Flowers, too. Full-bodied, tight and integrated with chewy yet fine tannins and a long flavorful finish. Drink in 2019. --- James Suckling
